Privacy Policy

Dean Garland, Inc. (“Dean Garland,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your
personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you
visit https://deangarland.com or any
other website that links to this Policy (collectively, the “Site”), or when you otherwise interact with us online or
offline.

If you are located in California, the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom (UK), or another jurisdiction
that grants you specific privacy rights, please review Section 11 for additional disclosures about your rights and
how to exercise them.

1. Scope of This Policy

This Policy applies to information we collect through the Site, via email, phone, SMS, social media, online ads,
lead-generation forms, or in the course of providing marketing services to our clients. This Policy does not cover
information collected by our med-spa or other clients on their own websites or practice-management systems, which are
governed by those parties’ privacy policies.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide to Us

  • Contact information — name, company, title, email address, phone number, physical address.
  • Business information — industry vertical, service interests, budget, project details.
  • Account & authentication — login credentials if you create a portal or dashboard account.
  • Payment information — limited billing details (for example, last four digits of card, transaction
ID) processed through PCI-DSS-compliant providers; we do not store full card numbers.
  • User-generated content — comments, survey responses, support requests, or other information you
    voluntarily provide.

2.2 Information We Collect Automatically

When you visit the Site we automatically collect certain information through cookies, pixels, log files, and similar technologies, including:

  • Device identifiers (IP address, browser type, operating system, device model).
  • Usage data (pages viewed, clicks, referring URLs, time spent, error logs).
  • Geolocation data (general city/state based on IP, not precise GPS).

2.3 Information We Obtain from Third Parties

We may receive leads, enriched contact data, or analytics reports from advertising partners, data brokers, and
publicly available sources, consistent with applicable law and any required consents.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Provide and improve services — deliver proposals, fulfill contracts, optimize campaigns, and develop new products.
  • Communicate — respond to inquiries, send newsletters, marketing materials, and administrative messages.
  • Analytics and personalization — analyze Site performance, measure advertising effectiveness, and tailor content to user interests.
  • Security and fraud prevention — detect, investigate, and mitigate malicious or unauthorized activity.
  • Legal and compliance — comply with laws, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect our rights and the rights of others.

Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK visitors): consent, performance of a contract, legitimate
interests, and/or compliance with legal obligations.

4. Cookies & Similar Technologies

We and our partners use cookies, pixel tags, local storage, and SDKs to collect usage information and facilitate:

  • Site functionality (for example, remembering preferences).
  • Analytics (for example, Google Analytics 4, Hotjar).
  • Advertising (for example, Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Insight Tag, remarketing lists).

You may disable non-essential cookies through our Cookie Preferences banner or your browser settings. Because
browsers differ, please consult your browser’s help menu for instructions.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share it only:

  • With service providers — cloud hosting, payment processors, analytics, email marketing, CRM, and
security vendors who process data on our behalf under data-processing agreements.
  • With marketing and advertising partners — to facilitate targeted advertising or audience matching,
subject to opt-out choices (see Section 7).
  • With business partners and clients — when collaboratively managing marketing campaigns (for
example, transferring qualified leads to a client CRM).
  • For legal reasons — to comply with subpoenas, court orders, or other legal processes; to protect our
rights, privacy, safety, or property; and to defend against legal claims.
  • In a business transfer — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or a
    portion of our assets.

All such third parties are required to safeguard personal information and to use it only for the purposes for which
it was provided.

6. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information—including TLS
encryption in transit, secure access controls, least-privilege practices, and regular security assessments. No
internet transmission or storage system is guaranteed to be 100 percent secure; please exercise caution when
transmitting information online.

7. Your Choices

  • Marketing emails — click “unsubscribe” in any marketing email or contact us at [email protected].
  • Text messages — reply STOP to opt out of SMS communications.
  • Behavioral advertising — visit
    https://optout.aboutads.info
    or
    https://optout.networkadvertising.org
to opt out of interest-based ads from many providers.
  • Cookie controls — use our Cookie Banner or your browser settings to disable cookies (see Section 4).

8. Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer
retention period is required or permitted by law (for example, tax, accounting, or legal obligations).

9. HIPAA & Health Information

Dean Garland is a marketing agency, not a covered entity or healthcare provider. We do not intentionally collect
Protected Health Information (PHI) through the Site. If we incidentally receive PHI from or on behalf of our
healthcare clients, we treat it in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996
(HIPAA) and any applicable Business Associate Agreements (BAAs), implementing administrative, physical, and technical
safeguards to protect that information.

10. Children’s Privacy

Our Site is intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from
children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can
promptly delete it.

11. Additional Disclosures by Region

data portability. You may withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. To exercise your rights,

responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy
policies.
